Description

ip.bzh answers curl, wget, PowerShell and any script in plain text: no account, no key, no tracking. This help also shows in the terminal with curl ip.bzh/help.

Your address

curl ip.bzh: Your public IP address alone, in plain text.
wget -qO- ip.bzh: The same with wget, where curl is missing.
irm ip.bzh: The same in PowerShell (Windows).
curl ip.bzh/ip: Always plain text, even for a client that asks for HTML.

Details in JSON

curl ip.bzh/json: Address, version, country, city, access provider, AS number and hostname.
curl 'ip.bzh/json?ip=1.1.1.1': The same information for another address, without hostname.
curl 'ip.bzh/json?lang=fr': Place names in French; also br, de, es, it (English by default).

One piece of information

curl ip.bzh/country: The country.
curl ip.bzh/country-code: The country code (ISO 3166, two letters).
curl ip.bzh/city: The city.
curl ip.bzh/asn: The autonomous system (AS) number of the network.
curl ip.bzh/isp: The access provider or host.
curl ip.bzh/hostname: The hostname (reverse DNS).

Unknown information gives an empty answer (404 error). Add ?lang=fr for place names in French.

Open ports

curl ip.bzh/port/443: Whether port 443 of your address can be reached from the Internet: open, closed or filtered.
curl ip.bzh/port/22,80,443: Up to 10 ports at once, one "port state" line each.

Networks of an operator

curl ip.bzh/asn/13335: Every network of autonomous system 13335, IPv4 then IPv6, one per line: ready for a firewall. From the local DB-IP database.

Without an HTTP client

nc ip.bzh 23: Your address over a bare TCP connection: BusyBox routers, minimal containers.
telnet ip.bzh 23: The same with telnet.

curl ip.bzh/stats: The usage statistics, aggregated, in JSON.
curl ip.bzh/help: This help, in the terminal (?lang=fr for French).
https://ip.bzh/?sky=demo: In a browser: the space background alone, dark, its animations one after the other.
https://ip.bzh/?net=demo: In a browser: the network background alone, dark, with its events.

Errors

400: Invalid address or list of ports.
404: Information unknown for your address: the answer is empty.
429: Too many requests: try again after the delay the Retry-After header gives.
503: Port test: the server is busy, try again in a few seconds.
